Overview

Food elimination diets are frequently recommended for infants and children with a variety of gastrointestinal complaints. The evidence supporting this approach varies based on the clinical presentations.  In this talk we will discuss the evidence suporting diets, the foods implicated and the risk/benefts of elimination diets in these children.

Objectives

•Discuss the evidence for food elimination diets in FPIES, FPIAP, EoE

•Discuss evidence (or lack thereof) for choice of which foods to eliminate and for how long

•Discuss the risks and benefits of this approach in each disease
