Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will:

•Understand the clinical importance of balance impairment and falls risk in the elderly.

•Have a simple approach to screening balance and gait in order to identify those who require further assessment / intervention to prevent falls.

•Obtain some resources for balance training and falls prevention.
