Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will:

•Have an overview of and resources for additional information on current recommendations in the management of congestive heart failure (CHF.)

•Understand some unique and challenging aspects of CHF management specifically in the elderly, especially the frail elderly.

•Understand the importance of multidisciplinary care and goals-of-care discussions in the holistic management of the elderly CHF patient.

•Have the opportunity to “brain-storm” management challenges in the care of their elderly CHF patients.
